Set in the Hôtel Scheffer-Renan, discover the Musée de la Vie Romantique with a guided tour on the theme of "Dialogue between the arts: painting, literature and music". The former home of the painter Ary Scheffer played host to many artists, including Delacroix, George Sand, Chopin, Pauline Viardot and Ernest Renan. The salons here recreate his art of living, with paintings, drawings, sculptures, furniture, jewellery and display objects. The rooms upstairs evoke the memory of Scheffer and the philosopher Ernest Renan, who became his nephew by marriage.
