La Traviata dress rehearsals
Palais Garnier
19h30
Enter the heart of the creation and surprise the artists in action
The Paris Opera offers Arop members the privilege of being able to observe the work of artists and the development of a production at different times: working sessions, pre-general and general. The general is the last work session before the first performance of a show.
LA TRAVIATA
By opening his opéra with a prelude for strings of an unprecedented economy of means, Verdi asserted in 1853 his desire to shake conventions and norms. This is not the least radical of his work: his "Traviata" implacably exposes the violence of a society that preaches material enjoyment and ends up sacrificing an innocent victim on the altar of bourgeois morality. Simon Stone likes to work in hand-to-hand pieces of the repertoire to lead them to more intimate territories. This director, who is one of the most noted in the theater today, makes his highly anticipated debut at the Paris Opera.
