Visit the factory of sonic dreams!

Hidden away in the heart of Paris, because it's built underground, beneath Place Stravinsky to be exact, Ircam (the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique) houses a specialist sound laboratory alongside its studios - a veritable factory of sonic dreams.

It brings together musicians, scientists and sound engineers, all passionate about innovation. Together they develop new ways of making music, invent instruments, design voices using artificial intelligence, and design the sound for the cars of the future.

Discover its history, its professions and its most emblematic sites, such as its studios and its famous anechoic chamber (deaf chamber). The tour then continues with a listening session of works and creations produced at Ircam. This listening session will take place under an ambisonic dome, giving participants a new listening experience!
