Formerly the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne and then the Mobilier Impérial, the Mobilier National has been furnishing places of power since it was founded in 1604, from the royal residences of the Ancien-Régime to the Elysée Palace today. Over the decades, its collection has grown steadily, and now includes more than 130,000 items of furniture and textiles, carefully preserved and maintained in the reserves that you will have the privilege of visiting.
