The Dosne-Thiers hotel, on Place Saint-Georges in Paris, was for many years the residence of Adolphe Thiers and his wife Elise Dosne. Bequeathed to the Institut de France by Félicie Dosne, Mr Thiers's sister-in-law and the family's last heir, it now houses the Dosne-Thiers Foundation, a library devoted to 19th-century French history, and the Centre de Recherches humanistes.
