For his first choreography at the Paris Opera in 1965, Roland Petit masterfully constructed a colourful fresco, as theatrical as it is intense, from Victor Hugo’s lavish novel Notre-Dame de Paris.

The Paris Opera Orchestra
A recording of Notre-Dame de Paris will be made, directed by Myriam Hoyer, on 12 and 16 December 2025, coproduced by the Opéra national de Paris and Pathé Live with the support of the Orange Foundation, sponsor of the Paris Opera's audiovisual broadcasts. The ballet will be broadcast in cinemas worldwide in 2027 and at a later date on Paris Opera Play, the Paris Opera's streaming website.
