As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation, openness and reaching a wider audience, the Paris Opera, through the development of audiovisual and digital projects online and on social media, maintains a presence beyond its walls that contributes to its international reputation and enriches its dialogue with new generations.

The Opera is implementing an ambitious audiovisual and digital policy to raise awareness of the art of opera and dance amongst an ever-wider audience. This is evidenced by the broadcasts of its performances on radio and television, in cinemas, via streaming, and even in the open air as part of the ‘Opéra d’été’ initiative, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023.

To meet the ever-growing demand from its audiences, the Opera also launched its streaming platform, POP – Paris Opera Play, in March 2023, available on the web, mobile and TV. POP allows all subscribers to watch a wide selection of performance recordings, documentaries and exclusive masterclasses. It helps to promote the Opera both in France and internationally and enriches the dialogue with the public, who can experience the highlights of the programme through live broadcasts throughout the season.
