The Paris National Opera's opera programme has three main aims: to enrich the company's repertoire, in particular by commissioning new productions; to promote its identity by showcasing the heritage of the Paris Opera and works that are sometimes overlooked; and to offer variety, providing audiences with an overview of four centuries of opera in all its aesthetic diversity.

The Opera is committed to promoting the talents of a new generation of opera artists, some of whom are making their debut at the Palais Garnier or the Opéra Bastille, alongside internationally renowned soloists.
